At Level Up School of Innovation, we believe in the power of community and the importance of engaging with our neighbors, local businesses, and families. We strive to create meaningful connections through regular outreach events, held at least once each quarter. These events foster collaboration, inspire learning, and strengthen the bond between our school and the wider community.

August 16 - NSBE Engineering Day

LUSI will be participating in the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Engineering Day at the Park. It is a free event with free food and engaging hands-on activities. This event will be held at the Morningview Elementary School. Prattville Cultural Arts -

Pitch and Play Teen STEAM Bootcamp

In this event, LUSI teamed up with the Prattville City Cultural Arts Department to host a Teen STEAM Bootcamp. We led "Pitch and Play", a video game design, shark tank style competition. Learners learned the basics of Apple Swift coding, designed their own video game in pairs, then pitched the video to the audience.

LUSI Lab

In October of 2024, LUSI held a community STEAM day called the LUSI Lab. We held different learning stations themed with the season including making lava lamps in the Mad Science Lab, experiencing virtual reality with Oculus headsets at the Fright Factory, creating eerie designs in the Cricut Crafty Cauldron, and racing through a haunted maze with a Sphero robot.

Two Weeks of Summer Camps -

Innovation Space Station

LUSI held two summer camps during the months of June and July filled with learning and hands-on activities. Innovation Space Station was a blast! Learners made drove Mars Rover robots, ate astronaut ice cream, blasted off rockets and much more!

Family Fun Night -

Launch Into LUSI

LUSI held a Family Fun Night for parents and families in the community to just come and hang out, meet some other learners and families, and just have fun family time!

LUSI has held two different community fishing events. These were for families of all ages to come hang out with LUSI learners and engage in a fun outdoor activity!
