Middle school is a time of transformation—where learners spread their wings, gain independence, and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. At LUSI, we call our Grades 6-8 students LUSI Flights—inspired by our moth mascot and their readiness to take flight into new challenges, opportunities, and discoveries. Their pod color is sky blue symbolizing freedom and exploration. Our LUSI Flights program helps students develop strong academic foundations, critical thinking skills, and leadership qualities—all in a supportive, engaging environment that prepares them for high school and beyond.
Technology and Coding
We believe every learner should have access to 21st-century skills, and that includes coding. Through hands-on projects, learners engage in coding, teamwork, innovation, and more—building problem-solving skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
Balance
While technology is a valuable tool, we ensure a healthy balance between screen-based learning and hands-on activities. Learners engage in discussions, collaborative projects, outdoor learning, and creative expression to prevent screen fatigue and foster real-world connections.
