Our Individualized Curriculum at LUSI
At LUSI, we believe that each learner's educational journey should be as unique as they are. That's why we've designed an individualized curriculum that adapts to the interests, goals, and learning styles of every LUSI learner. Each subject is tailored to the individual level and pace of the learner, ensuring that they are challenged appropriately while receiving the support they need.
We use Miacademy and MiaPrep as our base curriculum, providing a comprehensive and flexible learning platform that allows students to explore core subjects at their own pace. MiaPlaza’s ability to customize the subject levels ensures that each learner can work on the topics they are ready for, whether they need to accelerate or slow down in a specific area. This personalized approach helps foster confidence and mastery of the material.

Western Association of Schools and Colleges
Level Up School of Innovation is currently in the process of pursuing accreditation through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This journey reflects our commitment to continuous growth, accountability, and educational excellence. WASC has been incredibly supportive throughout the process, providing guidance and feedback to help us strengthen our systems while honoring our innovative microschool model. For families, accreditation offers added reassurance that LUSI is meeting rigorous standards and intentionally striving to provide the very best educational experience for your child.​

Additional Learning Opportunities
Learner-Driven Electives
MiaPlaza also offers Bible studies, foreign language, and a variety of elective classes for families who are interested. These electives provide additional opportunities for learner to explore subjects that may align with their values or future interests, further enriching their learning experience.
High school learners at our microschool have the opportunity to participate in dual enrollment programs with local colleges such as AUM and CACC, allowing them to earn college credit while completing high school. Each learner is also paired with a mentor working in a career field that aligns with their interests. As learners refine their goals, their mentor may change to better support their evolving aspirations.
Passion-Focused Learning
Digital Badges
In addition to core classes, our learners have the opportunity to dive into our digital badges. These digital badges are designed around learner passions and allow them to explore areas of interest such as marine biology, esports, personal finance, and much, much more. Each badge encourages hands-on learning, skill-building, and real-world exploration, ensuring that learners not only engage with what they love but also develop valuable, transferable skills. The selection of badges is a collaborative process. Coaches, parents, and learners come together to discuss and choose the badges that best align with the learner's interests, strengths, and learning goals. This partnership ensures that each badge represents a personalized learning experience tailored to the learner's unique passions and growth areas.
